>_> īut yeah! I feel like my first sculpted piece was a big success, and I'm super proud of her. counting fixing her up after I dropped her in the paint mid-way. Overall I'd say she was easily ~10 hours. Then she was painted with plain old Liquitex acrylics and sealed with matte Modge Podge. Prep work in itself took like 4 hours before I finished everything, since I did it in bits and pieces. I sculpted the majority of her mane, parts of her tail, her pipbuck, and her jacket with Crayola air-dry clay and, once dry, sanded it with some fine grit sandpaper. Ultimately I think she turned out pretty nice the pictures don't do her justice. I haven't read it myself yet (though I plan on it) so I had to rely on a lot of different pieces of fan art and some other people's interpretation of how she would look in blind bag form. One of my best friends is a huge fan of hers, and since pony customization is "my thing" and I had an extra Twilight base in my desk, I decided she would make the perfect Christmas gift for him. This is Littlepip of the fanfiction Fallout:Equestria by Kkat. I've finally broken the threshold into sculpted customs! And boy, was it a learning experience. I'm keeping Cadence for myself, but I'll be selling this first Luna I make on Ebay.I MADE IT ONTO EQD?! FOR REAL? FOR REAL. I'm going to try and finish Luna soon she should be a lot more straightforward compared to Cadence (hopefully T-T). That plushie is as big as that bed Get a bunch of Applejacks below. *She has my signature embroidered into the bottom of her front right hoof & 1 shoe *Others: magnets in accessories, wire in wings *Thread: gutermann polyester sew-all thread, madeira polyneon embroidery thread *Stuffing: premium polyester fiberfill, quilt batting, craft foam and poly pellets in hooves *Minky colours: blush, fuchsia, vanilla, amethyst, lemon *Materials: cuddle 3 minky by Shannon Fabrics I'm super pleased with how they look on her, and I plan to do the same for Luna's shoes.Īnyway - Cadence turned out to be a lot of work, and she took waaaaaay longer than I had expected, but I reckon all the time & effort I'd spent on her was totally worth it! ^^ I wanted to make the shoes separately and removable (rather than appliqued straight on) since I wanted to re-create what she'd look in real life. The crown and necklace have magnets in them. Her wings have been airbrushed to create that pretty purple gradient I'm very happy with how they've turned out! (I <3 my airbrush so much!) The minky is still smooth and soft to touch ^^Īll her accessories are completely removable. That means matching and lining up all the different colours. Her forelock took sooooo long to get right - mainly because I really wanted her hair to look good & make sense from all angles. Check out our mlp plush applejack selection for the very best in unique or custom, handmade pieces from our stuffed animals & plushies shops. I like having a good balance of show accuracy and aesthetics (my own personal aesthetics anyway x3).Īll the curls in her hairs are 3D (not just top-stitched in). I've also decided to use the same pattern for Luna's head (who is 60% complete), because I prefer it to her "manlier" show muzzle (no offense intended ). I'm so proud to share with you all my Princess Cadence plushie! ^^ Princess Cadence is my favourite princess from the show, so it was a given for her to be the first alicorn/princess I plush.īecause Cadence has a more feminine/petite snout compared to Celestia's and Luna's, I've designed the alicorn head pattern to reflect that. *sorry for the weird lighting, it's night time here and I tried my best to make the most out of my lightbox*
